Opera at CSUSB
CSUSB Opera Workshop director, Dr. Stacey Fraser, will direct the students in a full length operatic production of Offenbach's rare one-act opera,"RSVP or a Musicale at Mr. Cauliflower's". The two-night performance will feature a double cast in the principal roles of Ernestine and Babylas and will take place on Friday, May 1 and Saturday, May 2, 2009 at 7:30 p.m. in the Performing Arts Recital Hall. Tickets are $10 General, $8 Senior/Staff/Faculty and $5 Students. This wonderful and hysterically funny opera that makes fun of opera and all of its “operaisms” has beautiful, as well as, catchy melodies that will keep you humming long after the performance! The opera will feature CSUSB's top voice students, as well as CSUSB theatre professor Tom Provenzano in the starring role of Stuart Offenbach.
